Info : (Mirror for position and lighting reference.) A long time ago, I used to make all my drawings of people a complete front view, with a stiff 2D pose, and I've just recently broken completely out of that. I think I did decently at capturing the action, except I don't know why he's hitting you with the flat of the sword :)
Info : (Mirror for position and lighting reference.) Should have buffed up the soldier a bit more, not quite sure
on the hands, but I think the pose is decent.
Info : (Mirror for position and lighting reference.) I think it turned out pretty nice.
Info : Forest Creature. This one started as a strange stick figure. Designing creatures is fun :)
Info : Done for practice drawing older people. I don't know why he's holding the scroll like a 5 year old holds a baseball bat.
Info : Fantasy Picture, complete with background. Despite the technical flaws I really like this one, probably
because it's more complete than the other images on this page. (No references.)
Info : This is a Self-Portrait.
I used a Black & White Digital photo for
reference. I don't look this insane in real-life :)
Info : Reference from clothing magazine. I tried to emphasize the lighting and shading more on this one than I usually do in quick ones. I kinda like it.
Info : Photo-reference from clothing magazine. Maybe I should have spent longer on the forms (and I got tired of shading pretty soon.) Still decent I think.
Info : (From a photo-reference found on the net.) I was trying out a different subject matter. I was originally going to try to make this one look realistic, then decided to leave it sketchy.
Info : Photo-reference from clothing magazine. Tried to emphasize forms with shading intead of an outline this time. The shading didn't scan well.
