Info : Self-Portrait using gridding to outline a few forms. Didn't spend too long on it, I plan on doing a better one later.
Info : I drew this because I wanted to draw something interesting, challenge myself a bit. I really like the picture,
I just wish I could have pulled it off a bit better. The position of the handler and beast, although not very good, do at least suggest at tugging at the beast while it slowly follows.
Info : I was thinking this flying dragon was getting ready to throw something, but it doesn't really look it. I still like the pose though. This one started out as a stick figure dragon.
Info : I wanted to draw a weird picture here, something with some abstract elements, and slightly skewed perspective.
The meditating man started as a 3D box person. The little creature is chewing on his beard. I like this one.
Info : I wanted to try an extreme perspective with no reference. Unfortunately I under did the perspective. (Things close are not big enough, things far, like his back foot, are not small enough.)
Info : Did a Sea Dragon this time. Despite a number of problems that bug me a bit about this one (perspective, skewing) I really like it.
Info : Photo-reference from clothing magazine. I think I got the forms down nicely on this one.
Info : No Reference. Tried to draw a somewhat non-standard position from mind. Made her into a ballerina as an afterthought.
Info : From a B&W photo of Clair Forlani I found on the net, spent a while on it trying to get it pretty realistic. (phototracing used to setup the outline of the head, eyes & lips.)
Info : Natalie Portman Sketch with B & W photo for reference. Measured for general placement of features, still looks a little funny though.
Info : Photo-reference from clothing magazine. I like how the quick partial background turned out on this one.
Info : An interesting picture I think. The dragon is a little distorted and skewed but it, umm, gives it character :)
